Introducing a one-day recipe writing masterclass aimed at cooks and chefs who want to create recipes to present to a wider audience. Join award-winning food writer Richard Cornish who has written recipes for the Movida restaurant Spanish cookbook series, Phillippa’s Home Baking, Good Food, Herald-Sun, G Magazine, Appetiser Magazine as well as recipe development for Blake Family Grocers and The Daylesford Meat Co.
This course is suitable for those needing to write recipes at a high standard. If you are writing recipes to be read in blogs, websites, retail and professional environments including product handouts, online or professional cookbooks, then consider this course. It moves from the theoretical basis of recipe writing, understanding the audience, and the narrative of a recipe, to weights and measurements, recipe timelines, honing the intro and fact-checking.
At the end of the course, attendees will understand how to turn a cooking concept, chef’s shorthand or culinary hand-me-down into a professional recipe ready for print or online.
With catering by Phillippa’s, the course fee includes snacks, lunch, afternoon tea and the requirement to hand in a finished recipe for review. Held in a spacious family home in the inner southeastern suburbs of Melbourne, this course will give you recipe skills that will stay with you forever.
